Verify a certificate
Enter the number printed on the certificate, or scan its QR code. The register is read live — a status can change at any time.
Where is the number?
It appears twice on every Emet certificate: in the field band beneath the product table, and again in the footer. Type it exactly as printed, or scan the QR code on the certificate, which never mistypes. A shipment certificate carries the number of the certificate it was issued under followed by its own suffix, such as -S001, and is checked the same way.
What the statuses mean
- Valid
- In force. The holder is under active Emet supervision for the products listed.
- Suspended
- Supervision is paused. Product made in this period is not covered.
- Withdrawn
- Permanently revoked. It must not be used or displayed.
- Ended by agreement
- The certification ended by agreement. Nothing was found against the holder.
- Expired
- The validity period ended and was not renewed.
- Never issued
- No certificate of that number has ever existed.
- Voided
- Issued in error by Emet and never valid.
Holding a PDF?
Every Emet certificate prints an integrity code. It is not a checksum of the file — it is taken from the facts we issued, so it answers a different question from the number: not “is this certificate in force” but “what exactly did Emet issue under this code”. Look it up and compare it, line by line, with the document in your hand. Anything the paper says that our record does not is the forgery. Check an integrity code.
